Telstra Deployment Site Acquisition, Environment and Design (SAED), Australia

With the expansion of services available through wireless phone systems, Telstra required an upgrade to its mobile phone base station sites across South Australia and the Northern Territory. This will facilitate access to the broadband potential 3G networks offer urban and rural subscribers.

Aurecon is delivering SAED services, as part of Telstra’s expansion and upgrade of the Next G Wireless Network across Australia. With a proven track record delivering SAED projects, Aurecon can provide global resources, skills and expertise to meet Telstra’s tender objectives.

Aurecon is currently undertaking a range of rollout programmes for Telstra, including:

  • Planning and community consultation
  • Site acquisition
  • Site upgrades
  • Tower surveys
  • Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) rollout

Aurecon was nominated as the preferred supplier of engineering design services for the TelstraClear pilot WCDMA network rollout in Tauranga, New Zealand. Aurecon provided all engineering design, including structural, electrical, mechanical, fire, geotechnical, survey and project management.
