6 March 2012 - Two key appointments to the Aurecon Business Development team have been made in recent weeks with Gary Fisher joining us as Business Development Manager, Transport, and Mark Berger as Business Development Manager for Resources.

Gary and Mark’s appointments will further extend Aurecon’s ability to translate our technical expertise and experience into real world outcomes that help our clients understand what’s possible both for their project and their business objectives.”
Gary and Mark will be responsible for identifying and leading strategic business development to grow market share and optimise client success utilising Aurecon’s extensive global capabilities in the transport and resources sectors respectively.
Gary has nearly 30 years’ experience in the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of transport infrastructure, has held a range of senior executive positions with state governments and more recently contributed to the growth of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Transportation Group across Australia and New Zealand.
His broad range of experience in both the private and public sectors on projects such as Auckland’s CBD Rail Link, Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Transport Project and the Ipswich Motorway Upgrade Origin Alliance ensures he understands project delivery and achieving successful client outcomes. Gary is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Australia.
Mark brings with him solid experience in the resources industry having worked in diverse roles, including senior process engineer and business development director, for market leaders such as Mintek, Grinaker LTA process plant, Moser Industries and Aveng E&PC projects (formerly Grinaker – LTA Process Engineering Limited).
Mark holds a National Higher Diploma (Extractive Metallurgy) and a M.Dip.Tech (Metallurgical Engineering) from WITS Technikon. His experience spans work on the Two Rivers Platinum Project, Lydenburg, Grootgeluk Medupi Coal Mine Expansion Project, Lephalale and Tarkwa Cil Expansion Project, Ghana.
