Corporate social responsibility

Fundamental to Aurecon’s global corporate approach is our commitment to invest and allocate resources to aid development and improve the quality of life for the communities in which we live and work.

Aurecon contributes to a more vibrant world through a socially responsible and sustainable approach that includes sharing our knowledge and skills.

Aurecon and its people embrace the philosophy of giving back to the community by encouraging proactive involvement in the company’s multiple corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

We understand that no two communities have the same needs, so our CSR programmes encompass very different aims, ranging from empowering young learners to be successful, active citizens, to financial assistance for food and shelter. Our profession enables our people to contribute in the most practical and effective ways by providing input into community development and infrastructure in needy areas around the globe.

Part of Aurecon’s strategic focus is the investment and allocation of resources to develop and improve the quality of life in countries across the globe. This focus is embodied by the ‘Aurecon Cares’ programme in Africa as well as projects throughout Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia, China and the Middle East.

Foundation for Young Australians - Indigenous Student’s Breakfast, Melbourne
The Foundation for Young Australians’ (FYA) mission is to empower young Australians to be successful learners as well as creative, active and valued citizens. As part of the Foundation’s Worlds of Work programme, Aurecon hosted 25 indigenous students for an interactive discussion session with an Aurecon panel.  Feedback from the FYA staff and students illustrates the positive impact the breakfast had on those involved:

"I am overwhelmed by the generosity and engagement of your staff. This session had enormous impact on the young indigenous people."

"For these young people, walking into a workplace, meeting people and having conversations was a breakthrough. It did much for their self-image and confidence. Aurecon and its staff played a key role in making this programme a success. A humble and genuine thank you from all of us at the Foundation."
